The death has occurred of Michael Jordan

New Quay, Clare

The death has taken place of Michael Jordan, New Quay, Burrin, County Clare, on 19th May 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of Galway Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Bridie (née O'Dea). Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Catherine, his brothers John Francis and Jim, his sisters Marian, Eilish, Delia, and Kathleen, and recently by his sister Imelda.

Michael will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Bridie, his sons Niall and Micheál, his daughters Anna Marie and Róisín, his grandchildren Nathan, Luke, Laura, Michael, and Sienna, his daughters-in-law Maria and Yvonne, his brother Patrick, his brothers-in-law PJ, John, and Dave, sisters-in-law Dolly and Peggy, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

May his kind and gentle soul Rest in Peace.

 

Michael will repose at St. Patrick's Church, New Quay, on Friday, 22nd May, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Requiem Mass on Saturday 23rd at 11 am, followed by burial in The Killeen Cemetery.

Michael’s family wishes to thank Dr Matt O’Flaherty and his team in Kinvara Clinic, Nurse Susan and the team in Kinvara Health Centre, Kinvara Pharmacy, Michael’s carers, and the Galway Hospice Palliative care team for the excellent care he received.

I bought many a load of building sand from Michael back when he drove his maroon lorry all over Clare he was a pure gentleman to deal with and always reliable a truly lovely man great stories and memories sadly missed
