The death has occurred of Michael (Mike) Moran, Gort.
Peacefully, surrounded by his heartbroken family in Galway University Hospital on the 11th of July, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Moran — a cherished partner, father, son, brother, and friend, whose presence brought love, laughter, and warmth to all who knew him.
Pre deceased by his beloved mother Vera.
Michael will be deeply missed by his partner Christina and adored daughter Caitlin, Christina's parents Mattie & Eileen, his father Michael, brothers John and Colie, sisters Patricia and Brenda, brother-in-law Peter, sister-in-law Sorcha, Brenda's partner Kevin and his nieces and nephews.
He is also mourned by his loving aunts and uncles, cousins, and wide circle of extended family and friends who held him close.
Michael’s kindness, quick wit, and generous heart will never be forgotten. His spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Michael will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Monday evening, July 14th from 4pm with removal at 7pm to St. Colman’s Church Gort. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 15th of July at 12 noon. Michael will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman's cemetery, Gort. Family flowers only please.
