The death has occurred of Nora Murphy (née Walsh)

Ballymurphy, Claregalway and formerly of Caherlea, Claregalway, Galway

On Saturday the 15th of November 2025, Nora passed away very peacefully in the loving care of The Galway Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Darby, her parents Martin and Catherine, her sisters Mary, Sally and Bridget and her brother Henry.

Nora will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Margaret, Catherine and Brid, sons-in-law Pat Finnerty, Joe Keane and Larry Mannion, grandchildren Emer, David, Matthew, Sinead, Ciara, and David's wife Sarah and great-granddaughter Grace, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May Her Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Reposing at 'Sioraíocht' (H91 XH02), within the grounds of The Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway, on Tuesday the 18th of November from 5pm, followed by removal at 6:30pm to her residence (H91 TW9D). Funeral will arrive to The Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway (H91 YH05) on Wednesday the 19th of November, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Nora will then be laid to rest with her loving husband Darby, in Claregalway Cemetery (H91 Y2X0).
