Pat (Padraig) Giblin

Pat passed peacefully from this life, in his 94th year, on 1st June 2026 in the care of the staff of Galway University Hospital and with his loving family by his side.

Predeceased by his siblings Martin, Eamon and Moira and his infant grandson Logan.

Pat will be deeply missed and remembered with love by his wife Eva, his daughters Marina, Orna, Anne and Natasha, son-in-law Peter (Coyle) and Marina's partner Mark (Whitehouse), his grandchildren Elsie, Nathan, Ben, Seán and Mia, his cousins, nieces and nephews, his former colleagues and friends in Coillte and his many friends in Loughrea Rugby Club where he remained a proud trustee.

Pat will repose at his residence (H62 EA25) on Thursday 4th June from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral cortége will arrive at St Brendan's Cathedral, Loughrea at 12.15pm on Friday 5th June for Requiem Mass for Pat at 12.30pm. Burial will take place after Mass in Labane cemetery.
