The death has occurred of Patrick also known as Paddy Smyth, Forthbrowne, Lavally, Clonberne.

Patrick (Paddy) Smyth, Forthbrowne, Lavally, Tuam, Galway passed away suddenly in his 90th year, on Friday 24th October 2025 in Galway University Hospital under the care of their committed staff.

Predeceased by his son Aidan, parents Patrick and Mary Smyth, sister Mary Collins and brothers Johnny and Mattie.

Beloved husband of Mary Smyth (nee Moran), loving father of Marie Gibbons (Clonberne), Sally Gleeson (Dunmore), Adrienne Keaveney (Glenamaddy), Karen Joyce (Brownsgrove) and Brian Smyth (Forthbrowne)

He will be sadly missed and remembered with love and affection by all his family, sons in law Geoff, Michael, Tommy and Denis and daughter in law Helen, his 15 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May his gentle soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at Clonberne Community Centre on Sunday 26th October 2025 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday 27th October 2025 at 12pm in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne. Patrick will be laid to rest in Clonberne Cemetery.

Family flowers only, Donations if desired to Croí.
