The death has occurred of Patrick Oliver

Claddagh, Galway City, Galway

On Saturday, 7th February 2026, Patrick (Paddy) died unexpectedly at his home in Renmore. Predeceased by his parents Martin (Mhacín) and Mary, sister Pauline, brother Martin, nephew Tom and niece Eva. Mourned and very sadly missed by his sons Ciaran, David, Patrick, Dara, Brian and daughter Christina and their mother Daria, and son Nathaniel. Brother Tom, sisters Marie, Patricia, Helen, Martina and Bernie, daughters-in-law Ailish, Michelle, Suzanne, Rachel and son-in-law Martin, grandchildren and the extended Oliver family.

Funeral Arrangements

Wednesday, 11th February 2026 Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. No removal.

Thursday, 12th February 2026 Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Patrick on arrival at St. Mary's Church, Claddagh at 10am. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Parking and the Entrance to the funeral parlour.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance, on foot, from Fr. Burke Park. Thank you.

Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Difficulty in parking on Munster Avenue due to road works.

Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.

If you are travelling to Galway, please be aware there are traffic delays due to Road works in the area, also outside the Church in Salthill and all around the City.
