The death has occurred of Philomena also known as Phil Tarpey nee Madden, Castlelawn, Galway City, Galway formerly of Caherlistrane.
Philomena (Phil) died very peacefully with her dearly loved family by her side in the tender care of the staff at Galway University Hospital.
Deeply missed by her children Michael, Regina and Donal, son-in-law Joey, grandchildren Bernard, Alana, Meghan, Daniel and Ava and by her great grandchild Harry. Fondly remembered also by her brother Patsy, sisters Mary and Norah Anne, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Tommy, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Margaret, sisters Delia and Eileen, brothers-in-law Paddy, Michael and Gavin, nephews and niece John, Sinéad, Enda and Michael.
May her kind and gentle soul, rest in eternal peace.
Funeral Arrangements

Phil will repose at the Church of the Holy Family, Funeral Parlour, Mervue from 5p.m. to 6.30 p.m. (The entrance to the Funeral Parlour is through the Church. Wheelchair and assisted entrance is through the exit door at car park level)
Saturday 19 July 2025
A Requiem Mass in loving memory of Phil will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on arrival at 'The Church of Mary Immaculate and St. Joseph, Caherlistrane. Mass will be streamed on https://www.churchtv.ie/caherlistrane/
Following Mass Phil will be laid to rest at Donaghpatrick cemetery, Headford. Mass will be live streamed at Caherlistrane Church. Link below.
