The death has occurred of Rita Coffey (Barna, Co. Galway and Lecarrow Co. Roscommon).  29th October 2025; Unexpectedly but peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the kind and loving care of the staff at the Beacon Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her parents John Joe and Maureen and brothers Paddy and John.

 

Loving sister of Lillian Byrne (Dublin) and Damien (Carrick-on-Shannon), sister-in-law to Jackie, Auriol, Ann and the late Robert, cherished cousin to Marie, Pauline and John Grenham, adored aunt to all her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Rita will be sadly missed and always remembered with love and gratitude by her family, wide circle of friends, neighbours and her former Bank of Ireland colleagues.

 

May She rest in peace.

 

Rita will repose at Smyths Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) from 3 o’c until 5 o’c on Sunday afternoon (2nd November).  Requiem Mass will take place in St John’s Church, Lecarrow (F42 P840) at 11 o’c Monday morning (3rd November) followed by burial in St Coman's Cemetery Roscommon.

My deepest condolences to Sarah and all the Coffey family, the Grenham family and Rita’s many friends on her sad and sudden death. A lovely person, who always enjoyed her “Prom “walks. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
