The death has occurred of Rita Dooley (nee Sweeney) Liscananaun, Claregalway, Co. Galway on the 29th January, 2026.
Peacefully at home in the loving care of her family in her 100th year. Pre-deceased by her husband, Jim her sister Bridie Hanley, brothers, baby Jimmy, Paddy Joe, John, Michael, Bernard, Tommy and Dominick.
Deeply loved and sadly missed by her children Imelda, John, Ann, Seamus, Margaret, Patrick, Martin, Ger and Aidan, her son in law Tommy, her daughters in law Mary, Mathilde and Muriel. Her cherished grandchildren Kieran, (Selena) Dermot, Yvonne, (Chaan) Georgina, Kate, (Andrew) Ellen, (Eric) James, Alice, Matthew, Conor, Isabelle, Daniel her great grand-children Cathal and Shane, nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.
Funeral arrangements
Saturday 31st January
Reposing at Our Lady’s chapel, Lackagh (H65N129) from 4.00 pm with removal to the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh at 6.00 pm
Sunday 1st February
Funeral Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65N129) at 1.30 pm burial afterwards in Cregg cemetery.
Mass will be live-streamed on Lackagh Church Live YouTube Channel and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM.
