Robert Hegerty, also known as Robbie
Doon East, Rosscahill, Co. Galway, formerly of Loughwell, Moycullen and Oxford, England.
Robert passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in St. Mary’s Ward University Hospital Galway on the 29th April 2026.
Predeceased by his brothers Harry and Albert.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Kevin and Brendan, daughters Angie and Annette, brother Peter and his wife Anne, sister Rosemary and her husband Tom, sons-in-law Ian and Simon, daughters-in-law Helen and Sarah, grandchildren Niall, Lois, Kieran, Jemima, Maya, Holly, Haydn, Daisie, Eibhlin and Callan, great-grandson Teddy, his extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Robert Rest in Peace.
Reposing on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at Walsh's Funeral Home, Oughterard (H91EV52), from 5pm with removal at 6.30pm to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moycullen (H91 Y54A). Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 2 o’clock in Moycullen on May 2nd, 2026.
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
