The death has occurred of Sr. Angela (Fatima) Hoare
Sisters of Mercy, Stella Maria, Taylors Hill, Galway and Brierfield, Moylough
Sr. Angela, Sisters of Mercy, Stella Maria, Galway and formerly of Convent of Mercy Tuam, Glenamaddy and Dunmore died peacefully in the loving care of her family and her community in Stella Maria on Sunday September 7th, 2025.
Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Nora (née Byrne), her brothers Jimmy, Fr. Michael, and Paddy (recently deceased), her sisters Katty (Scarry), Maisie (Kearney), Sr. Terry (Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Mary Immaculate, Texas), and Sr. Anne (Mercy Sister). Deeply mourned and fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews, extended family and the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch, in particular the community in Stella Maria.
Take my hand, O Blessed Mother, and lead me home to Jesus
Reposing in Stella Maria (H91 XY 93) on Tuesday, September 9th from 3pm to 5pm.
Arrival at Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam (H54 WP66) on Wednesday September 10th for Mass of the Resurrection at 12noon. Burial afterwards in the Convent Cemetery, Tuam.
