The death has occurred of Sr Mary Alexius (Tess) Murray, The Weir, Kilcolgan, Galway.
Sr Mary Alexius Murray, also known as Tess, Sisters of St Joseph, St Augustine Florida U.S.A and formerly of The Weir, Kilcolgan, Co. Galway. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Convent on 20th July 2025 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary, brothers Mattie and Jimmy and sisters Nancy (Ryan) and Rose (Gallagher). Deeply regretted by her nieces, especially Carmel, nephews, especially Martin and Peter, grandnieces, grandnephews and great-grandnephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will take place in Florida on Monday 28th July 2025 at 3p.m. Irish time. Mass will be live-streamed on https://m.facebook.com/ssjfl/.
Memorial Mass will take place for Sr Mary Alexius Murray in The Church of the Annunciation, Clarinbridge on Monday 18th August 2025 at 7.30p.m. Mass will be broadcast on parish radio 106.20 F.M.
