5 Galway clubs competing in Ladies Football All-Ireland Club 7-a-side competitions
THE Ladies Gaelic Football Association is pleased to announce the list of 60 clubs who will participate in the O’Neills All-Ireland Club 7-a-side competitions, to be played at the Naomh Mearnóg club in Dublin on Saturday, August 2nd.  The clubs attending will compete for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior prizes on offer on the eve of TG4 All-Ireland Finals day.
O’Neills were unveiled as sponsors of the LGFA’s All-Ireland Club 7s competitions last year, a development which further strengthened the long-standing relationship between the LGFA and O’Neills, who are kit manufacturers for many leading inter-county and club teams.  Three of the six 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Finalists, namely Dublin (Senior), Tyrone (Intermediate) and Antrim (Junior), will wear an O’Neills kit at Croke Park on Sunday, August 3rd.  Senior champions Clann Éireann (Armagh) are back to defend their title, but they’ll face stiff opposition from several teams, including 2022 and 2023 winners Kilkerrin-Clonberne from Galway.  The O’Neills All-Ireland Club 7s event traditionally marks the start of TG4 All-Ireland Finals weekend, with the TG4 All-Ireland Junior, Intermediate and Senior Championship finals to be contested at Croke Park on Sunday, August 3rd.
5 Galway clubs are travelling to Dublin to participate in the 7-a-side competition. At Senior, Kilkerrin Clonberne and Maigh Cuilinn; at Intermediate, Tuam Cortoon and Menlough Skehana; and Junior, Mountbellew Moylough.
Trina Murray, President of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, commented: “We’re looking forward to our 2025 O’Neills All-Ireland Club 7s at Naomh Mearnóg. It’s great to have O’Neills on board again for a second year as sponsors of this prestigious annual event.  On the eve of our TG4 All-Ireland Finals, the O’Neills All-Ireland Club 7s are a perfect appetiser, and keenly contested in their own right. 60 clubs will descend upon Naomh Mearnóg, aiming for coveted national titles and while there’s a huge element of fun and camaraderie involved on the day, the football is also extremely competitive.  Many thanks to our hosts, Naomh Mearnóg, and best wishes also to our competing clubs, competition organisers and match officials who will be on duty.  I hope to see the many people who are making the trip to Naomh Mearnóg at Croke Park on the following day, too, for our TG4 All-Ireland Finals.”
Speaking on behalf of O’Neills, Financial Controller, James Towell said: "We’re delighted to return as sponsor of the LGFA All Ireland Club 7s Tournament for a second year. It’s a standout event that brings together clubs from all over the country and acts as the perfect lead-in to the TG4 All-Ireland Finals.  We’re proud to continue our strong connection with the LGFA and to support the game at all levels. The 7s capture the energy, pace and commitment that define Ladies Gaelic Football, and we’re looking forward to another exciting day. Best of luck to all teams taking part."
