Galway will lock horns with Kilkenny on Sunday in Croke Park in the Leinster Senior Hurling Final at 4 o'clock, aiming to win the Deleney Cup for the 4th time ever and deny Kilkenny a 6-in-a-row of provincial titles. The two sides met in the opening round of this year's championship in Nowlan Park, when Kilkenny ran out convincing winners on a 3-24 to 0-21 scoreline, but since that defeat, Galway have registered victories over Offaly, Wexford, Antrim and Dublin to set up a familiar Leinster Final pairing. It will be the 9th time that Galway and Kilkenny will meet in the provincial final, with Galway winning in 2012 and 2018 (after a replay). For manager Micheál Donoghue, it's an opportunity to win a third Leinster title as manager, having also presided over Galway's 2017 win over Wexford, which ultimately ended with the All-Ireland title.
