The draws for the Reeves Cup (Senior Club second teams) and Junior A to F Hurling Championships were made last night at the latest Galway Hurling Committee Meeting, where plans were also outlined for the Senior and Intermediate draws on Monday week, June 22nd (Live on Galway Bay FM) from the Loughrea Hotel and Spa.







Meanwhile, the teams and format for the 2026 Senior, Intermediate and Premier Junior Hurling Championship draws on Monday night week in the Loughrea Hotel and Spa have been released.
2026 Senior Hurling Championship Teams: St Thomas’, Loughrea, Clarinbridge, Sarsfields, Craughwell, Gort, Cappataggle, Turloughmore, Tommy Larkins, Liam Mellows, Killimordaly, Castlegar, Moycullen, Ardrahan, Oranmore/Maree, Athenry. (16 Teams as per outcome of 2025 championship).
4 groups x 4 teams. 2025 semi-finalists drawn 1 in each group. (St Thomas’, Loughrea, Craughwell, Turloughmore). Top team in each group qualify for quarter final places in Senior championship. Teams 2 and 3 in each group cross play in preliminary quarter final, with winners playing 1st place teams in quarter final. Avoid repeats where possible. Semi-finals: Open Draw. Sequence of games in groups to be as per GAA Matrixes. Winner on the day in all knockout games up to and including Semi Finals & Final Replay.
Relegation: Bottom team in each group playoff with 1 team relegated to Premier Intermediate 2027 in the following format: - 2 V 2 with 2 losers’ playoff, loser relegated to Premier Intermediate 2027.

2026 Premier Intermediate Championship Teams: Kilconieron, Padraig Pearses, Mullagh, Kilnadeema/Leitrim, Tynagh/Abbey/Duniry, Ahascragh/Fohenagh, Ballinderreen, Portumna, Beagh, Rahoon/Newcastle, Meelick/Eyrecourt, Kinvara, Carnmore, Ballygar, Killimor, Skehana-Mountbellew/Moylough. (16 Teams as per outcome of 2025 championships).
4 groups x 4 teams each seeded draw, ie 1 relegated Senior team 2025 plus remaining Senior B teams 2025 drawn 2 (two) in each group, Top team in each group qualify for quarter final places in Senior championship. Teams 2 and 3 in each group cross play in preliminary quarter final, with winners playing 1st place teams in quarter final. Avoid repeats where possible. Semi-finals: Open Draw. Top 4 teams in each group to Quarter finals 1A V 4B, 2A V 3B, 3A V 2B, 4A V 1B. Winner promoted to premier Intermediate for 2027. Semi-finals: Open Draw. Sequence of games in groups to be as per GAA Matrixes. Winner on the day in all knockout games up to and including Semi Finals & Final Replay.
