Over 200 Junior Cycle students from Galway have been honoured for getting distinctions in their Irish exams.
They are among the 8.3% nationwide who achieved a distinction and attended a ceremony at the University of Galway
32 students received a distinction in the T1 exam for Gaelscoils and 170 in the regular T2 exam.
One of the students from Salerno - Abbie Killeen told Saoirse Duhan that this award will benefit her in the future especially with the Leaving Cert
