There's been a call for the N84 Galway to Headford road to be included in the National Planning Framework to enhance its chances of improvement works
Tuam area Councillor Mary Hoade says such works are urgently needed on the road - which covers two counties - from a health and safety point of view.
Councillor Hoade explained to our reporter Kevin O' Dwyer that Oireachtas members from Galway and Mayo have advised that this would be a good approach and they would support it
