Galway Bay FM – Traffic & Roadworks Update

Traffic & Travel Update – Galway Bay FM

The latest traffic and roadworks information from across Galway City and County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time where roadworks, maintenance works, or traffic management measures are in place. Delays may occur on major routes approaching Galway City, including commuter routes, national roads, and key junctions during peak travel periods.

Road users should follow all temporary traffic signage, observe reduced speed limits where applicable, and exercise caution when passing through active work zones. Drivers are also reminded to observe all Rules of the Road, wear seatbelts, and remain alert at all times while travelling.

If you're travelling this [morning/evening], check your route in advance and be aware that weather conditions, collisions, or unexpected incidents may cause additional delays.

If you have traffic information to share, contact our reception team with updates from your area.  Galway Bay FM encourages motorists to never text, browse, or use a handheld mobile phone while driving. Distracted driving puts all road users at risk. If you need to make or receive a call, pull over safely and legally before using your phone.

Stay tuned to Galway Bay FM and GalwayBayFM.ie for the latest traffic, travel, and roadworks information throughout the day.
