We are delighted to be joining CORLANN - The new name for The Brothers of Charity Services, who will be celebrating special milestones, at The Connacht Hotel. The event will highlight the many achievements and personal successes, both big and small, across the West Sector of Corlann.
For those who may not yet be familiar, Corlann is an inclusive and progressive organisation dedicated to supporting individuals in leading full, meaningful lives as equal members of their communities. Their work is rooted in empowerment, dignity, and belonging.
The name Corlann itself reflects this ethos. Derived from “cor”, the Latin word for heart, and “lann”, the Irish word for place, it represents a simple but powerful idea: placing heart at the centre of everything they do, while creating a place where everyone feels they truly belong.

Corlann is the new name for Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Corlann West provides services in Galway and Roscommon to more than 2,000 people who have an intellectual disability, including those who also have autism. Services include residential and respite care, day services, host family placements, home-based supports, outreach and multidisciplinary services.
Services are delivered by over 2,100 staff from a wide range of professional backgrounds. Corlann’s aim is always to provide, as far as possible, personalised supports that empower people to identify and achieve their own life goals, and to live as valued, equal, and active citizens in their communities.
