Portumna Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the Summer Solstice Wellness Festival, a completely free community event taking place on Saturday, 21st June 2025. Set against the stunning backdrop of Lough Derg and the River Shannon, this vibrant celebration of health, nature, and local spirit promises something for everyone – and is set to become an annual highlight on the town's calendar.
Join Valerie Hughes live on The Wagon Wheel 11-1pm from Portumna's Swimming recreational area as we celebrate Mid Summer with the people of Portumna. It's going to a the longest day packed with so much to do!
Start your day right with revitalising Tai Chi and Yoga sessions led by local wellness experts Tosca and Jenny. Early risers can also enjoy an invigorating cold plunge and sauna experience at Connacht Harbour with Manini – a perfect way to greet the longest day of the year.
Adventurers can take to the water with a scenic boat trip along the River Shannon courtesy of Silverline Cruisers or feel the thrill of speed on the lake with Cormac Tully of Derg Lake Tours aboard his brand new RIB.
Explore the picturesque Blueway with free bike hire from Dicks Bike Hire and Rickshaw taxi rides courtesy of Galway Sports Partnership.
