The official launch of West Midlands Credit Union – now one of Ireland’s largest Credit Unions, serving over 80,000 members across Galway, Roscommon, and Westmeath – will take place on Friday, 22nd August at our Tuam branch.
This celebration marks the successful merger of Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union and St. Jarlath’s Credit Union, along with a full rebrand and refurbishment of all branches. These changes bring our members more products, innovative digital services, and the same trusted, personal service they value.
Our Tuam branch will host the launch event from 11:00am to 4:00pm, with Minister of State at the Department of Finance, Robert Troy TD, officially launching West-Midlands Credit Union at 11:00am.
The day will feature family-friendly fun, including children’s entertainment, face painting, and complimentary tea, coffee, and light refreshments. From 2:00pm to 3:30pm, Galway GAA football star and St. Jarlath’s College alumnus Damien Comer will be on hand for a special meet-and-greet.
In addition, there will be launch events in West Midlands Credit Union Dunmore, Headford, Mountbellew, Glenamaddy, Castlerea and Athlone branches! West-Midlands Credit Union is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
