Galway City Council is delighted to announce that a free, public big‑screen showing of the All‑Ireland Hurling Final — Galway vs. Limerick — will take place in the Heineken Big Top as part of the Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF). This special event brings together two of Galway’s greatest passions: Hurling and the Arts. The Heineken Big Top — one of Ireland’s most iconic festival venues — will transform into a vibrant gathering place for supporters, families, and visitors. This is more than a match screening; it is a cultural moment shaped by Galway’s artistic spirit. In a city where creativity thrives and sporting pride runs deep; this unique screening celebrates hurling as a truly European cultural moment — at an International Arts Festival event in an international city. International visitors participating in Ireland’s EU Presidency programme will be afforded the opportunity to experience this game as part of the festival’s official offering. Tickets will be available free of charge from Monday 13 July at 11:00am via GIAF.ie.
