Galway Bay FM Sport understands that Clarinbridge’s David Forde has joined Shane O’Neill’s backroom team in charge of the Galway senior hurlers. Forde managed his native Clarinbridge to the quarter finals of the senior championship this year and coached Ballinderreen back to the senior ranks two seasons ago. He played at centre-forward for Galway in the 2005 All Ireland final against Cork. It has been speculated that Forde’s former Galway teammate Fergal Healy will be another of O’Neill’s selectors.
