As school holidays begin and routines become busier, HelloFresh and Connacht Rugby are helping families tackle the summer schedule by bringing together two summer essentials for many households across the province: keeping children active and entertained during the day, and making dinnertime easier once everyone gets home.
As part of the partnership, families attending Connacht Rugby Summer Camps will receive a free HelloFresh voucher to trial the recipe box service, helping to take the pressure off busy summer evenings. The camps will run across 12 clubs across the province this summer, such as Galway Bay, Ballina RFC, and Sligo RFC, giving children aged 6–12 the chance to stay active, build skills and enjoy a fun week of rugby coaching. The children will also receive a branded top, kit bag, mini rugby ball and water bottle.
The collaboration reflects the realities of family life during the holidays, when parents are often balancing work, childcare, activities and the evening rush. While children spend the day learning new skills and making friends at camp, HelloFresh is helping families keep dinner quick and simple with easy-to-follow recipes and pre-portioned ingredients delivered to their door.
Speaking about the partnership, Philip Doran, CEO of HelloFresh Ireland, said:
“Summer can be a brilliant time for families, but it can also bring a lot of extra juggling for parents as children’s activities ramp up and normal routines shift. This partnership is about supporting families in a way that feels useful and relevant during that busy period. Connacht Rugby Summer Camps give children the chance to stay active, build confidence and have fun, while HelloFresh helps take some of the pressure out of mealtimes at the end of the day.”
Joe Gorham, Head of Rugby Development at Connacht Rugby
“Our Summer Camps are an important part of the season for families across Connacht, giving children the opportunity to get involved, stay active and enjoy rugby in a fun and welcoming environment. Partnering with HelloFresh is a natural fit because it speaks to the broader family routine around the camps. It is about making summer a little easier for parents, while ensuring children have a positive and active experience playing the sport they love.”
