Cooney and Glynn set to return for Galway Hurlers

Joseph Cooney is set to return from Australia to be part of Galway’s Leinster hurling championship campaign. Cooney is expected back within the next week while Johnny Glynn is also due back from the USA soon to rejoin the Galway panel. Both men last appeared for Galway in last year’s All Ireland Final. This news comes as a boost to the Galway squad following the injury sustained by Joe Canning.

The good news continues as Conor Cooney’s ankle injury is not as bad as first feared. Cooney, who was forced off last Sunday in St Thomas defeat to Liam Mellows, will continue the rehab process with the aim of being available sooner than first thought
