This Sunday, Dexcom Stadium will play host to a Corinthians RFC vs Galwegians RFC double-header in the Bank of Ireland Reid Cup Final at 3pm followed by the Senior Cup Final at 5:30.
However, earlier in the day, the two clubs will play in the annual Glynn Cup. A competition first played for in 1959 and named in honour of Johny Glynn who died at just 46, midway through his term as president of the IRFU
Johnny had played with Galwegians and Connacht and the two city clubs decided to put up a memorial trophy in his memory, which would be played every St Patrick's Day.
Following a break of 11 years, the teams will once again play for the cup with games at underage and adult.
