DexCom, Inc. (Nasdaq: DXCM), a global leader in real-time continuous glucose monitoring for people with diabetes, today announced Galway based professional golfer Liam Nolan will join them as a brand ambassador in Ireland.
Liam, a Dexcom user who has Type one diabetes, and who turned professional last summer, currently competes on the European Hotel Planner Tour where his performances have secured him a number of top ten finishes helping him close in on a tour card for the DP World Tour – the leading professional golf tour in Europe.
Prior to turning professional last summer, Liam was a multiple winner as an amateur, culminating with his selection for the Great Britain & Ireland team at the 2023 Walker Cup, which was played at the famous Old Course in St Andrews. He also qualified for The Open at Royal Troon in 2024 and is already in the field for final qualifying for this year’s Open in Royal Portrush.
A native of Barna in Co Galway, Liam joins a community of people with diabetes, including many professional athletes, around the globe who are Dexcom users. Other sportspeople include England Rugby Union international Henry Slade, Olympic gymnast Charlotte Drury, and NFL player Adonai Mitchell (Indianapolis Colts).

Dexcom Inc. is a world-leader in producing and distributing continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems for the management of diabetes. Founded in 1999, Dexcom employs over 10,000 people globally and broke ground last year on a major multi-million Euro state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Athenry Co. Galway, which will create 1,000 permanent jobs in the West of Ireland. This new facility is Dexcom’s first manufacturing plant in Europe, working in tandem with their current facilities in Arizona and Malaysia, and their headquarters in California.

Liam’s next sporting assignment will see him take part in Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge in France, swiftly followed by final qualifying for the Open.
