Dunmore golfer off to Scotland for Titleist Grand Final on Friday

Dunmore Demesne Golfer Pete Totten has an exciting few days ahead of him as he is off to Scotland on Thursday for the Grand Final of the Titleist Order of Merit! Over 50,000 golfers in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales registered at the start of the year for the competition, with only the top 16 making it to the grand final. Incredibly, one of those 16 golfers is Corofin native Pete Totten who finished top of the Ireland section for Male golfers playing off a handicap of 17 and over. The leaderboard was based on every golfer's best 5 scores between April and August in weekend competitions on their home course and Pete's performances in Dunmore proved to better than anyone else in the country!

The Titleist Grand Final on Friday features 8 Gents and 8 Ladies, and will be played on the Dunbarnie Links, nine miles from St Andrews where Pete and Dunmore Club Captain Paul Cheevers will be staying.
