High Performance Director at Rowing Ireland, Niall O'Carroll, said:
“World Cup I is an important milestone for our programme and provides an excellent opportunity for athletes and crews to benchmark themselves internationally early in the season. A huge amount of work has gone in behind the scenes over the winter months, from daily training sessions and camps through to a demanding trial process at the National Rowing Centre. Selection for these crews has been highly competitive, and the athletes have earned the opportunity to race in Seville through their performances and commitment across the season to date. We are looking forward to seeing how they perform against world-class competition as we continue building towards the major championship events later this summer.”
