Galway recorded their second win of the Leinster U20 Hurling Championship with a comprehensive victory over Kildare in Hawkfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Tribesmen burst out of the traps, stamping their authority on the game and by 17 minutes had built up a 0-8 to 0-2 lead. On 20 minutes Ciaran Leen teed up Vince Borden to fire in the only goal of the game and Gavin Keary's side led by 1-11 to 0-5 at the break.
Ciaran Leen's frees kept the scoreboard ticking over while Brian Callanan, Luke Kennedy, Darragh Counihan, Sean Moran and Conor Cahalan all raised white flags for Galway, who now turn attention to a clash with Kilkenny on ednesday April 22nd in Portlaoise.
