Galway held off the gale force wind in the final quarter to secure the Connacht under-14 Ladies Football Championship at the Connacht GAA Centre, Bekan on Saturday (4th April 2026) with a 3-5 to 2-5 victory over Mayo.
With the elements in the first half, Séamus Tierney's team went 2-5 to 0-0 up thanks to goals for Sadbh Ní Raghallaigh and Aoibhe Daly for the Tribesgirls. However, Mayo wiped out that 11-point difference during the third quarter leaving Galway to dig deep. Lola Mangan go the winning goal for the girls in maroon.
Next up for Galway is the first stage of the All-Ireland under-14 series which takes place on Saturday, 25th April.
