The Galway Races begin this Monday with thousands coming to Ballybrit for seven days of high quality racing.
It is also an opportunity for local jockeys and trainers to return home and be part of what is a highlight of the national racing calendar.
George McDonagh sat down with Conor Rabbitt and Aaron Anderson who both ply their trade in England but who have horses running at the Festival.
Conor is the conditional jockey with Jessica Bedi Racing who is based in Yorkshire while Aaron is involved with the yard who have brought over five horses to run this week.
