A Jago Godden goal in the 91st minute proved costly for Galway United on the opening day of the SSE Airtricity League Men's Premier Division as Drogheda United took the spoils on Friday in Eamonn Deacy Park (6th February 2026).
David Hurley also saw a second-half penalty go wide as the home side couldn't land the crucial goal, beginning their campaign by propping up the table.
