Two early goals conceded proved costly for Galway United in the SSE Airtricity League Men's Premier Division as their winless run against Shamrock Rovers increased to 40 games at Eamonn Deacy Park (8th May 2026).
Michael Noonan and Adam Brennan gave the visitors a 2-0 interval advantage before Matty Wolfe put United back in contention three minutes after the restart. However, Tummise Sobowale guaranteed the points would go to Tallaght on 73 minutes.
