Galway United have announced the signing of defender Wasiri Williams, who joins from Latvian club Daugavpils.
The Englishman has previously played for Dundalk in 2023, while on loan from Swansea City.
Williams appeared for the Lilywhites on 11 occasions before he joined Partick Thistle during the 2023 season.
The 25-year-old began his senior football career at Bromley in England, and after some impressive spells at English non-league clubs, the defender joined Swansea City in 2022. The following year, Williams went onto sign for Partick Thistle in Scotland, where he made 16 appearances for the club during the 2023-24 season. "I’m delighted to have signed. It’s nice to be back in the league. I’m looking forward to getting started. I look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming games."
Williams is United’s first new signing of the closed season.
