Galway will include nine players from last year's All-Ireland senior quarter-final panel for their opening game of 2026 against Kildare in hurling's Walsh Cup on Sunday (4th January 2026).
Darren Morrissey and Cianan Fahy are the two starting survivors from last June's championship exit, but Tom Monaghan, Rory Burke, Declan McLaughlin, Seán Linnane, Gavin Lee, TJ Brennan and Brian Concannon were also involved.
Leading up to the game, Galway manager Micheál Donoghue has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's Sean Walsh.
On Friday's 'Over The Line', Galway Bay FM's Andy Coen and Darren Kelly looked ahead to the game and Galway's season ahead.

Throw-in at St. Conleth's Park, Newbridge on Sunday is 1.30pm and we'll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.
