Galway senior manager Padraic Joyce has made 13 changes from last year’s All-Ireland quarter-final loss to Meath for their FBD League return against London on Saturday (3rd January 2026).
Sean Fitzgerald captains the team from full back, with Jack Glynn in the corner. Daniel O’Flaherty, a substitute last summer, also starts, while Johnny McGrath is among the replacements.
Former Galway footballer and Galway Bay FM commentator Eddie Hoare joined Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly on 'Over The Line' to look ahead to the game and the season.
The team in full:
Eamon McGrath in goal;
A full back line of Jack Folan, Sean Fitzgerald and Jack Glynn;
Finnian O Laoi, Conor Carson and Brian Cogger are the half backs;
Jack O’Neill partners Ryan Roche in midfield;
Shane McGrath, Ciaran Mulhern and Daniel O’Flaherty are on the ’40;
And an inside line of Jack Mullen, Fionn McDonagh and Colm Costello.
Throw-in at the Connacht GAA Centre, Bekan on Saturday is 6pm.
