Galway well represented on FAI Schools Primary 5s National Finals Day

Galway will be well represented in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, June 9th when the annual FAI Schools Primary 5s National Finals Day takes place. Four schools have qualified as Connacht champions from Galway, including Scoil Cholmáin Tuairíní from Moycullen in the 'A' Cup competition for small schools, Bullaun National Schools in the 'B' Cup for medium schools, Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh from Knocknacarra in the 'C' Cup for large schools, and Scoil Róis Taylors Hill in the Girls 'C' Cup for large schools.

Last year’s edition was the largest in the competition’s history with more than 44,000 players involved throughout the country with this year's finals set to take place once again at the home of Irish football; the Aviva Stadium. FAI Schools Primary 5s is a fun five-a-side football programme that is the largest participation programme in primary schools in Ireland. Open to boys and girls from 4th, 5th and 6th class, and also to children with disabilities, emphasis is placed on fun, inclusivity and fostering a passion for football.
