Galway are Connacht Senior Football Champions following a pulsating final against Mayo in McHale Park.

The win was Galway's fourth in a row, emulating the team of the 60's who won 4 titles between 1963 and 1966.

In the end, only 2 points separated the teams, with Galway winning by 1-17 to 1-15 in front of over 27,000 people in McHale Park.
