AIB have announced this month's 'Moments of the Championship' nominations on their Instagram and WhatsApp channels, aimed at celebrating the true spirit of Gaelic Games - those unforgettable instances of support, inclusion, and belonging that truly define our clubs and communities, both on and off the pitch.
AIB believe in supporting communities and customers in the ‘moments that matter’ to them, and we want to extend that same recognition to the incredible people within our GAA clubs who do the same. This campaign is dedicated to shining a light on those often unsung heroes, players, coaches, and supporters - whose acts of selflessness and camaraderie make our Gaelic Games so special.
Each month, we'll be highlighting a selection of these inspiring moments for the wider Gaelic Games community to vote on, with a monthly winner being crowned, before culminating in an overall “Moment of the Championship” award at the AIB Club Player Awards next year.
This month, Galway has the following nomination –
- After their All-Ireland success, Athenry embarked on a tour of their old national schools. The team hoped to inspire the next generation of Athenry Camogie stars, as well as paying tribute to the schools who gave them so much support at the earliest stages of their careers.
We would absolutely love for you and the entire Community to get involved. These moments embody the very best of Gaelic Games, and we need you to encourage your community to rally the votes! The winner with the most votes across the four codes will be invited to the AIB Club Player Awards 2026, where they will be shortlisted for AIB Moment of the Championship.
