Galway's Niamh McPeake has been named the PwC GPA Women’s Player of the Month for June in Camogie.
Niamh led the charge for Galway this month as they bounced back from a defeat to Cork with two wins.
Two impressive goals in a comfortable win over Tipperary helped the reigning All-Ireland champions book a direct spot in the All-Ireland semi-finals.
Following the announcement, Niamh spoke to Darren Kelly.
Kerry’s Emma Costello is the June winners of the PwC GPA Women’s Player of the Month awards for Ladies Football and Kerry’s Dylan Geaney and Limerick’s Nickie Quaid are named the PwC GAA/GPA Footballer and Hurler of the Month.
Emma gave a heroic display of defending against Kildare, and popped up at the other end of the field to score a point, helping the Kingdom ladies to an All-Ireland quarter final against rivals Meath.
Seventeen points in 3 victories for Kerry ace forward Dylan Geaney during the month of June, encompassing a man of the match performance in his last outing versus Tyrone, has earned him a well-deserved player of the month award. Nickie Quaid produced an unforgettable performance in this year’s Munster Final, with the veteran keeper making two remarkable saves against Cork to help Limerick claim victory.
The June awards celebrate the country’s stand out performers through Provincial Championship Finals, 2026 All-Ireland Championship rounds and Quarter finals.
PwC is proud to recognise excellence in Gaelic Games through their sponsorship of the Player of the Month awards as well as the PwC All-Stars and the PwC camogie All-Stars.
