Rapparees Enjoy Proud Night at GAA Rounders All-Stars

Galway City Rapparees enjoyed a brilliant night at the GAA Rounders All-Stars, taking home the Connacht Club of the Year award and celebrating a well-deserved All-Star for Ili Tuimuaga.

For a club that only started in 2021, nights like this still feel a bit surreal — but they also show how far the group has come in a short time. The award recognises the graft that’s gone in on and off the pitch, from coaching and organising to fundraising, welcoming new members and building a proper club community.

All-Star for Ili

A huge highlight of the evening was seeing Ili Tuimuaga named as a Inter Men's All-Star. Anyone who has trained or played alongside Ili knows how much he brings to this club — power, athleticism, leadership, and plenty of personality. A massive achievement and one everyone in the club is proud of considering he was in his rookie year.

A Club That Keeps Growing

We’ve now got 60+ members and counting — people from all over Galway, all backgrounds, all ages, and plenty of different sporting stories. Some grew up in GAA, some played cricket, baseball or rugby.

That mix is one of the best things about this club. It’s competitive, but it’s also friendly, fun, and genuinely welcoming.

Looking Ahead to Senior in 2026

Winning Intermediate Men’s this year was a huge moment, and it means the Rapps step up to Senior level in 2026. It’s a big challenge, but one we’re ready for. The hard work continues — more training, more development, and hopefully even more new faces joining the club.

Always Open to New Players
