Seven Winners of This Year's ECC Timber Products Sports Scholarships Receive Bursaries from PJ and Mary Fahy

The 2025 ECC Timber Products Sports Scholarship Presentation took place on Friday (11th April 2025) with seven recipients receiving a bursary from PJ and Mary Fahy to cover college costs for the next four years.

Special guests were Joe Canning, Therese Maher and retiring TD Eamon Ó Cuiv.

The 2025 winners were Clarinbridge duo Aaron Niland and Sean Murphy, plus Athenry’s Jason Rabbitte for hurling; footballers Ciaran Mulhern of Mountbellew/Moylough and Shay McGlinchey from Tuam Stars; St. Fursey’s Alisha O’Malley for ladies football; and Shamrocks camogie player Emily Lawless.

Also in attendance were the 17 bursary recipients from 2022, 2023 and 2024 and the Shining Stars winners were Dunmore MacHales’ Colm Costello and Sarsfields’ Caoimhe Kelly (both from the class of 2024).
