Galway United's long wait for a competitive victory over Shamrock Rovers will wait another year as the Hoops made it 39 games unbeaten against the Tribesmen in the SSE Airtricity League Men's Premier Division at Tallaght Stadium on Friday (20th March 2026).

Danny Grant put the hosts 1-0 up at half-time before Aaron Greene secured the result with four minutes remaining.

Afterwards, Galway United assistant manager Richie Holland shared his thoughts with Galway Bay FM's Jonathan Higgins.

Galway United's next game is at home against Derry City on Friday week (3rd April 2026).  Kick-off at Eamonn Deacy Park is 7.45pm.
