World Youths Boxing Champion Cliona Darcy returned to Gort Community School this morning, less than a week after her historic victory in Spain.
Almost 1000 fellow students greeted the Leaving Cert student, the teaching staff, her parents Richie and Dawn, and several elected representatives, including Minister Anne Rabbitte, Ciaran Cannon TD, Cathaoirleach of Galway Michael 'Mogie' Maher and Councillors Joe Byrne, Martina Kinane and Gerry Finnerty.
