Easter Lily 5k - The Easter Lily 5km was held last Sunday in Doughiska in support of ACT for Meningitis. First home was Aimad Belayd in a fast 15.59 , with Sean Howley second and Abaas Edris third . In the Ladies, Eimir Geraghty raced to victory in 19.48, with Roisin Mougham second and Ruth Audley third
Fixtures - It’s a big weekend of National competition across both Track and Field, and Road Competition. Day three of the National Juvenile Indoor Track and Field Championships takes place in the TUS Athlone Arena on Saturday 11th April next , with a programme for U12- U19s, including the ever exciting Inter Club Relays , the 1500m events, and High Jump competitions among the highlights. On the road, the National 10km championships take place as part of the Great Ireland Run in the Phoenix Park , on Sunday 12th April next . Galway clubs will be well represented, with Galway City Harriers fielding strong Mens and Womens squads and Craughwell Mens team will also be in medal contention, Race start is at 9am on Sunday 12th next also sees the Spring Throws competition organised by Athletics Ireland.
