Women in Sport Week 2026

It’s Women in Sport Week this week, with events taking place across Galway, running from March 2nd to 8th — a celebration of every woman and girl taking part, coaching, volunteering, or leading in sport.

There are plenty of events happening locally, and there’s still space available in several great programmes (see below)

Women in Sport Week’s theme this year is “Same Energy” — encouraging everyone to bring the same excitement and support to women’s sport as they do to men’s.

All booking links are available now on the Galway Sports Partnership website.
