Fianna Fáil's Mary Hoade is the new Cathaoirleach of Tuam Municipal District, succeeding Independent Councillor Karey McHugh Farej
Councillor Hoade, who has held the office once before, was proposed by her Fianna Fáil colleague Donagh Killilea and seconded by Fine Gael's Andrew Reddington.
Councillor Killilea was elected to serve as vice-chair for the coming year.
