14 families in Ballybane have been served with eviction notices.
Tenants at Cúirt Eigis on the Ballybane Road say they were informed by their landlord that the apartment complex is to undergo a "major renovation".
Some of the families have been living in the apartments for as long as 18 years.
This comes after new rental laws have been brought in, to strengthen tenant protections and introduce rent controls.

Local Fianna Fail Councillor Alan Cheevers, says the families shouldn't move out as has been requested by their landlord.
