Sixteen patients attending the Diabetes Outpatient Clinic at UHG have been honoured at a special awards ceremony
Diabetes Ireland presented 50 and 65-year achievement medals in acknowledgement of their courage, perseverance, and lifelong commitment to managing type 1 diabetes.
10 women and 6 men from Galway, Mayo, Clare and Tipperary were awarded medals at the ceremony in Croí.
They are among a special group of 400 people nationally who have received a medal.
